Check-in check-out dates invalid error when swiping a card

Problem

When attempting to swipe a card for a reservation that is either checking in or checking out (or during any portion of the stay on or after the arrival date), you receive the error "check in & check out dates invalid". This only occurs when using the Process Charge option.

Cause

When using Process Charge and swiping a card, the check-in and check-out dates are not passed.

Solution

Use the Pre-Authorization option instead. You can the either immediately run a Post transaction, or wait until the check-out date to run the Post.
